With 33 years in the automotive industry and 25 years at BMW, Ernst is an experienced leader. Some key achievements:
- Set up BMW manufacturing in Mexico City – 1994
- General Manager Dealer Development for BMW in Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean
- Engineering team lead from 2012 to 2016, developing electric vehicles (BEV) for the Chinese market, which resulted in the Zinoro brand (based on the BMW X1).
Additionally, Ernst is a polyglot, fluent in German, French, Spanish, and English. He has cultivated strong relationships with C-Suite executives at major car companies like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, GM, and Porsche.
